not sure if i'd trust it being wire-tied onto the frame though every time i look at this bike i think the down tube says "kool" handlebars are a much better location there should be some kind of rubber piece to go between the frame and the strap, it would make it less likely to damage the top tube. agreed 
indeed it is good sir. just not so much of a fan of putting a a ratchet strap on my frame.
